Health Connection-Pace Program

Pace offers many programs and services that improve the community and encourage self-reliance. Sometimes the community is unaware of the programs we offer that might benefit them.

Dr. Michelle Pitcher, Clinical Services Director, says, “Pace has been providing reproductive health care services for over 50 years. Our practitioners specialize in reproductive healthcare and spend considerable time with each patient.”

What services does Health Connection Offer?

Confidential, voluntary services include comprehensive family planning services to men and women of child-bearing age; breast and cervical screening; contraceptive methods; adolescent abstinence/risk behaviors education; screening, diagnosing, and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STI) such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis; HIV testing and counseling; pregnancy testing and counseling; condom distribution; and education.

Who is eligible for the program?

Men and women of reproductive age. There are no income restrictions or health insurance requirements.

Why is the Health Connection program important to the individual and the community?

We can serve uninsured, under-insured, high risk and low-income men, women, families, and teens.  We also operate on a sliding fee scale according to income level so we offer health services to many who may not have other options. We also specialize in family planning and STI services which allows us to provide education services that are difficult to find in other offices.

Health Connection clinics are located in Bedford (812) 675-0247, Sullivan (812) 638-2998, Vincennes (812) 882-6069, Washington (812) 254-6936 and Terre Haute (812) 234-0707. Individuals can seek services from any of our offices as you do not have to be a resident of one of the counties where our clinics are located.
