Pace Announces Greene County Community Services Fair
Pace Community Action Agency, Inc. (Pace) is hosting a Community Services Fair on June 7th from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Roy Clark Community Building in Linton, Indiana. The Community Services Fair is a “one stop shop” offering community and social service assistance to families and individuals of Greene County.
Our goal is to bring all of the great organizations and agencies in the county together in one location to provide assistance and information to help those in need. To accomplish this goal, we are offering information and “on the spot” services at our Community Services Fair.
We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Shifting Gears of Indianapolis to provide some attendees with a bicycle at the event. Shifting Gears is a partnership between Bicycle Garage Indy, Nine13sports, and the Indiana Department of Corrections created to help offenders gain skills to improve their chances to be productive citizens upon release. Shifting Gears has provided 25 adult bikes to offer members of the community a reliable means of transportation. A short application will need to be completed and approved to receive a bicycle. Bicycles will be available on a first come, first service basis.
Pace will also have several programs in attendance at the event including Health Insurance Navigators offering on the spot health insurance enrollment and assistance; Head Start will be accepting applications for fall enrollment, and Energy Assistance/Weatherization will be providing tips on how to keep your energy costs low. Please join us on June 7th for no cost “on the spot” services, complimentary lunch, and many other giveaways. We look forward to seeing you!
