New Sexual Assault Services at Pace Community Action Agency
Pace Community Action Agency, Inc. is proud to announce the implementation of sexual assault services in the Vincennes Health Connection clinic. Health Connection clinicians have been sexual assault trained and certified. The clinic provides forensic examinations, evidence collection, medical care, advocacy resources, and connections with additional community resources.
One in five women and one in seven men have been sexually assaulted at some point in their lives. Pace is moving forward to end sexual violence. Michelle Pitcher, Pace’s Clinical Services Director, said, “Sexual assault is a pervasive problem that affects the entire country, including our community. We are raising awareness of sexual violence, and we encourage any individual who has been sexually assaulted to contact our Health Connection clinic. Pace will continue to operate its Health Connection program providing quality reproductive care and services to our patients.”
Pace provides support services to improve the community and encourage self-reliance in Knox, Daviess, Sullivan, and Greene Counties with limited services in Gibson, Lawrence, Martin, and Vigo Counties.
