Pace Holds Annual Meeting

Pace held its Annual Board Meeting for their three corporations on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the Pace building in Vincennes.  Each corporation; Pace Ventures Holding Corporation, Pace Development Corporation, and Pace Community Action Agency, Inc., held 2017 elections. 

Jim Jones presided over the Pace Community Action Agency’s meeting which began at 7:00 p.m.  Reports were presented by Dr. Bertha Proctor, CEO; Lori Williams, Associate Director; Joel Smith, VP of Finance, and Laura Pressel, VP of Planning. Reports to the Ventures Holding Corporation and Pace Development Corporation were also provided by Ms. Williams and Dr. Proctor. 

Pace Ventures Cleaning is celebrating ten years in business, and a new website has been launched at www.venturescleaning.com.   In addition, Ivy Lane Apartments celebrated 5 years since the property opened.  These apartments continue to be an asset in our community by fulfilling the need for affordable housing.

The outgoing President, Jim Jones, was recognized for his 15 years of service to the Pace Board and the community.  Mr. Jones served as the board chair since 2008.  He never missed a meeting and often took his personal leave to participate in board training and other Pace activities.  Greg Jones of SIDC (Southern Indiana Development Commission) was elected as the new President of Pace’s Board of Directors.

The next meeting of Pace Community Action Agency’s Board of Directors will be Thursday, March 16, 2017.
