Pace Community Action Agency, Again Receives Excellent Financial Audit
Pace Community Action Agency’s Board of Directors meeting was held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 21st at the Pace administration building, 525 N 4thStreet in Vincenneswith President Jim Jones presiding.
The 2015 Financial Audit Report was presented to the finance committee and to the full board by Glenn Comer of Comer, Nowling & Associates from Indianapolis. Mr. Comer reported on the agency’s audit in detail explaining that there were no financial statement findings and no federal award findings or questioned costs for Pace and it’s subsidiaries’. Mr. Comer stated Pace continues to hold a high standard of excellence, and because of no findings in past years, Pace qualifies as a low-risk auditee.
In addition to reports being presented by Dr. Bertha Proctor, CEO; Lori Williams, Associate Director; Joel Smith, VP of Finance and Laura Pressel, VP of Planning & Development;Tai Blythe, Associate Director, provided training on Head Start income verification. Ms. Blythe explained how eligibility for Head Start is verified and described the documentation that is required.
Pace’s next Board of Directors’ meeting will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016.
