The effect the Head Start Program had on your education....

  • The Head Start program helped prepare me to attend school with a positive outlook of the classroom atmosphere.
  • It exposed me to many things that helped with my transition to elementary school.

 

Again this year, the Indiana Community Action Association (IN-CAA) shared in funding these scholarships in memory of Joan E. Cline. Joan was a 33-year Executive Director of an Indiana Community Action Agency that dedicated her life to helping families and individuals become self-sufficient. She also believed that assistance through higher education was necessary.

  • Head Start helped me with my speech since I was born eight weeks premature.
  • Head Start gave me confidence and that learning is fun.
  • Head Start puts kids at a great advantage of learning early.

PACE annually provides two scholarships, but this year the selection committee determined that four candidates were worthy to receive the award.
