What is the Vincennes Food Pantry?
The Vincennes Food Pantry helps meet emergency needs of a household by providing emergency food staples. We provide assistance to the Food Pantry by operating as the distribution center.
I don't need assistance, but how can I help?
The Food Pantry relies on donations from churches, individuals and community organizations. You may help in the following ways:
- Make a monetary donation
- Ask your church or community organization to make a monetary donation
- Donate non-perishable items
- Donate toiletries (cannot be bought with food stamps)
- Donate paper items (also cannot be bought with food stamps)
- Coordinate a food drive for canned items

How does the program help?
Provides food staples to individuals and households to prevent hunger.
Who Qualifies?
Households located in Vincennes, Monroe City, Wheatland, or Decker who have an emergency food need and have applied for or receive food stamps. Services are limited to once every three months.
How do I apply?
Call the Client Services office in Knox County at 812-882-7927 ext 1509. You will need to provide the names, dates of birth and social security numbers for all persons residing in the household. A photo ID, proof of residency, and food stamp case number is also required.
