Early Head Start
What is Early Head Start?
Early Head Start, providing services in Knox, Daviess and Sullivan Counties, is an intensive, comprehensive, flexible child development program that is designed to reinforce and respond to the unique strengths and needs of each individual child and family.
The goal of Early Head Start is to enhance the development of very young children and to promote healthy family functioning.
I don't need the assistance, but how can I help?
Early Head Start, a federally funded program, must provide a local match of 20% of the federal funding. This requirement is met throught cash donations, in-kind gifts, and volunteer time. Contributions are greatly appreciated and can make a difference in your community. Volunteering your time is another way you can help.
