Pace’s Sullivan County Office to Relocate

Pace Community Action Agency, Inc. announces the relocation of its Sullivan County office effective August 1st.  The office, currently located at 22 South Court Street in Sullivan, will be combining with the Greene County office located at 109 East Vincennes Street in Linton.

Susan Laughlin, Client Services Manager, states “due to proposed budget cuts the decision has been made to combine services in Greene and Sullivan Counties starting with the merging of those two offices.”  We will still be providing such programs as Energy Assistance and Weatherization to residents of Sullivan County, but will primarily be processing those applications from our Greene County office.  Pace staff will be available by appointment only at a location in Sullivan on Mondays and Thursdays by calling 847-2237.

Bertha Proctor, CEO, states that “we will provide the same quantity of services in Sullivan County, and residents should expect the same level of quality service and customer care for the programs that we operate.”  As with many agencies and providers, we are already experiencing funding cuts and anticipate more cuts in the future.  This move will allow us to continue providing services without any reduction in staff or client benefits.

Applications for the upcoming winter heating assistance program will be made available by mail in October to those households that received assistance this past program year.  The Energy Assistance Program will officially begin on November 3rd
