Pace Staff Give Back to the Community

Pace Community Action Agency staff constantly provide services and programs that benefit the community.  In addition to their commitment to improving the community at work, Pace boasts a compassionate staff dedicated to serving in many capacities.

Last year Pace staff donated over 3,100 hours of volunteer time to benefit various local organizations.  Individuals served as volunteers in many capacities for local boards, committees, and organizations such as the RSVP, 4-H, Humane Society, local churches, American Red Cross, and the Salvation Army just to name a few.  Lou Anne Hunt, a Head Start Family Specialist, was recently awarded a pin to commend her commitment to volunteering over 300 hours at Good Samaritan Hospital.  About her volunteer work at GSH, Lou Anne said, “The work we do at Pace is rewarding, but there is something special about knowing I’m donating my time at GSH to help individuals.  I plan to continue volunteering.”  Lou Anne is only one of the over 30 Pace staff volunteering to make Knox, Daviess, Greene and Sullivan Counties a better place.
