Pace Head Start Hosts Open House
The Pace Head Start Center in Vincennes held a successful “Open House” event with over 80 individuals in attendance on Thursday, August 25th. The event allowed parents to come in and see their child’s classroom before the 2011-2012 school year began.
During the event, parents and children were able to visit with the teachers and other school personnel allowing for relationships to begin. The children worked on art activities and participated in an exciting scavenger hunt that showed them where items could be found throughout their classroom.
Parents and children were smiling and laughing as they interacted with staff during the open house. Kerry Kroeger, Site Manager, stated “PACE recognizes that parents are their child’s first teacher and we work with families to achieve success. We encourage families and community members to volunteer throughout the school year.”
