Four Classes Remaining in Pace’s Spring Schedule No-Cost Computer Training

There are only four classes remaining in Pace Community Action Agency’s spring schedule of free community computer training, and there are still slots available.  “These classes are a great opportunity for community members to learn new computer skills or brush up on old ones,” said Chief Operating Officer Lori Williams.  Pace strongly encourages people to take advantage of these training opportunities now as they will not be offered again until fall. “We’d love to have a full house in these last few classes,” said Williams.

Classes run on Monday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the following schedule:

Learn how to keep your computer secure and some tips to help protect your privacy while using the Internet.

The Internet and Social Networking

Learn to navigate the world of social networking to keep in contact with friends on Facebook and Twitter; share photos on Flickr, attach files to emails; and find out how to navigate the web using favorites and searches.

4/25/11

Basic Word 2007

Learn how to set-up a document, use the toolbar, and perform keyboard shortcuts.

5/2/11

Basic Excel 2007

Gain skills in using the spreadsheet program. Learn to create and save a household budget.

Participants can sign up for any and all courses. There is no cost to enroll, however donations are accepted. Register today by calling Chris Clinton at 812-882-7927, ext. 1258 or Bethany Bruner at 812-882-7927, ext. 1233.

Please note that all computer classes are held in our computer lab which is located on the second floor of our administrative building located at 525 N. 4th Street in Vincennes; the lab is only accessible by going upstairs.
