Impacts Continue from Pace Intern Program

Former Pace Summer Intern and Lincoln High School graduate, Kaisha Killon, won a $1500 scholarship by placing first in the communications triathlon at the 2011 JAG Career Development Conference. Kaisha participated in the 2010 Pace Summer Intern Program along with 20 other area students. During her internship with Pace, Kaisha received training about interviewing and business etiquette; she also worked with area businesses to create social media sites and blogs. Kaisha said, “I was able to use the constructive criticism given to us during the internship such as how to get through an interview without looking like a complete dud to win the scholarship!” The 2010 Pace internship project was implemented through ARRA (American Reinvestment and Recovery Act) funds. Pace is proud to have played a role in helping Kaisha succeed!
