Pace Health Connection Recognizes
National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy

May 4, 2011 is the National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy. This day is recognized to focus the attention of teens on the importance of avoiding teen pregnancy and other serious consequences of being sexually active.

On this day, teens nationwide are asked to go to www.StayTeen.org and take a short, scenario-based quiz (available in English and Spanish), that is designed to challenge young people to think carefully about what they would do in a number of risky sexual situations.

In support of this initiative, Health Connection of Pace Community Action Agency, Inc. will host an Open House on May 4th from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for teens and/or their parents to visit the Vincennes clinic. Computers will be available to take the nationwide quiz, educational information will be provided, and refreshments will be served. Staff will be available to answer questions, provide information, and schedule appointments.
