City of Bicknell and Partner, Pace Community Action Agency,
Receive Additional Funds for Expansion to Neighborhood Stabilization Project
Pace Community Action Agency is pleased to announce that our partner, the City of Bicknell, has received an addition $2 million grant from the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) to expand the current NSP project.
Funds will be used to demolish, rehabilitate, and construct buildings to expand the current neighborhood being targeted by NSP so that it overlaps with the Downtown Revitalization Project and expands into the neighborhood to the south. These funds are slated for the following projects:
- Construct seven rental units
- Construct three single-family homes
- Rehabilitate four single-family homes
- Demolish three single-family homes
- Demolish five commercial buildings
Pace Community Action Agency’s contact for the project is Amy Fehrenbacher, Project Developer. “The progress we’ve seen already and the response from the community has just been amazing,” said Fehrenbacher. “We’re so excited to move forward with these additional funds.”
